Oslo, 11 November 2024 – The space industry, both in Norway and internationally, is gathering in Oslo as Spaceport Norway 2024: XPLORATION opens. More than 60 speakers from leading organizations, including NASA, ESA, and prominent Norwegian space companies, will be present, making it one of the largest gatherings of space experts Norway has hosted. With only three tickets left, Oslo Event Hub will soon be fully booked on 12–13 November.

“This is the largest gathering of space exploration leaders and specialists Norway has ever seen,” says Ole Dokka, Founder and Executive Director of Spaceport Norway. “The space industry is coming to Oslo because Norway is increasingly seen as a valuable space nation, with the capacity and capability to make a real impact.”

An Industry in Change and Growth

The space industry is undergoing significant change and growth, with Norway’s activity and ambition in space at an all-time high. The program will highlight important announcements regarding the future of Norway’s space initiatives and will feature the launch of a new national space organization for students.

Political Participation

Spaceport Norway 2024 will also have strong political representation. State Secretary Tomas Norvoll will open the conference, and members of Parliament will participate in discussions, underscoring Norway’s increasing ambitions in the space sector.

Special Partnership with Latvia

This year, Spaceport Norway is proud to announce a special partnership with Latvia, an ambitious nation in the space sector. This collaboration has the potential to create new and interesting partnerships with Norwegian organizations, opening doors for future joint projects.

Supporting Future Talent

Among the 100 sponsored students attending the event, many will participate in the launch of a new national space organization for students, with the goal of inspiring and supporting the next generation of space professionals in Norway.
