Dr. Agata Krzesinska is a geologist and planetary scientist at the University of Oslo specializing in studies of meteorites and terrestrial analogues for Mars. She is part of the ESA ExoMars rover science-support team and serves on a NASA-ESA committee tasked to define an optimized sequence of scientific investigations for Mars Sample Return. She contributed to formation of and now curates the Planetary Terrestrial Analogues Library, a collection of terrestrial rocks from relevant crustal and aqueous environments, that enhance capability of interpreting data from Mars exploration instruments. Additionally currently she curates the Mars Sample Return Analogue Sample Library, which is designed specifically to support scientific preparation for the upcoming Mars Sample Return mission. Agata is also member of steering committee for Norwegian Meteor Network and she actively promotes public awareness of meteorite falls through public outreach activities.
