Espen Tallaksen is the CEO of EmLogic, a principal Embedded System design centre in Norway and the leading FPGA design centre in Scandinavia. Espen is a founder of EmLogic and two other Embedded System companies and has more than 30 years of experience with FPGA and ASIC development. He also has significant Space experience after contributing to FPGAs for the Solar Orbiter, for the Mars Rover Rimfax instrument and more. With a strong interest in methodology cultivation and pragmatic efficiency and quality improvement, he has given numerous presentations at various international conferences on important aspects of FPGA development. He is also giving courses world-wide on how to design and verify FPGAs more efficiently and with better quality. An important result of his interest in methodology improvement and efficiency has been an FPGA verification system (UVVM) that is currently being used by over 35% of all FPGA designers in Europe. Espen is the project manager of a current ESA project to extend UVVM even further.
