Gara has a background in telecommunication engineering and has worked on RF underwater measurements and characterisation. From 2017 she started working in the space sector and specialized in radio measurements using Software-Defined Radios (SDR) in Small Satellites during her PhD at NTNU (Trondheim). She joined Space Norway in 2022 and is lead on the Software Defined Radio payload on the ADIS satellite. In addition, she is working on different ESA activities in the Innovation and development department.
