Stephanie Werner

Stephanie Werner is a geophysicist and planetary scientist focused on how planets form and evolve. She earned her doctorate in natural sciences from Freie Universität Berlin in 2005 and a diploma in geophysics from Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel in 1999. Her interests include comparative planetology, planetary dynamics, exoplanet systems, and geophysics. She's particularly known for her work on cratering processes and using remote sensing to study Earth and other planets. Currently, Stephanie is the Co-PI and Vice-Director at the Center for Planetary Habitability (PHAB) at the University of Oslo. She's led projects like the Mars Analogues Library and Collection and coordinated the Planetary Terrestrial Analogues Library (PTAL). In addition to her research, she teaches planetary sciences courses at the University of Oslo and has been involved with various international space missions and organizations, including the European Space Agency (ESA). With over 100 published works and thousands of citations, Stephanie has made significant contributions to her field.
