Stig joined KSAT in 2023 after 41 years of service in the Norwegian Armed forces and Ministry of Defense. Prior to joining KSAT, Stig was head of Space program/division in the MoD/Armed forces, which was established in 2017, with the strategic and overall responsibility of implementing Space as an operational domain. Stig is a fighter pilot of trade, has completed all levels of military education and has three operational tours. Additionally, he holds a Master of Management. At KSAT his focus and responsibility is government, and government to government (G2G) cooperation and collaboration.
